2x01 -- Witch Trial

On the anniversary of Prue, Piper, and Phoebe becoming the Charmed Ones, the Book of Shadows is stolen by a demon named Abraxas. Taking it to the astral plane, Abraxas starts erasing the spells in the book, unvanquishing various demons and warlocks the sisters have previously faced. If he reaches the spell at the front of the book, the one that gave the sisters their powers, the Charmed Ones will lose their powers forever. Meanwhile, the sisters get some new neighbors, and Piper buys a nightclub.

2x02 -- Morality Bites
After the Halliwells use their powers to punish a bad neighbor, Phoebe receives a premonition of being burned at the stake. Casting a one-time spell, the sisters find themselves in the near-future of 2009, where magic has been exposed and witch trials have been brought into modern times. In this future, Prue is a successful but lonely businesswoman, Piper and Leo are married with a daughter, and Phoebe is set to be executed for killing a man with her powers.

While examining a painting for the auction house, Prue gets sucked into the painting, only to be tricked into freeing a warlock also trapped inside. Meanwhile, Phoebe accidentally wrecks Prue's car and casts a smart spell in order to get a job to pay for repairs.

Leo returns, just as Piper's nightclub manages to book the band Dishwalla, giving Piper's fledgling business a much-needed boost. However, there's a catch: the band's manager has made a deal with a demon named Masselin. In exchange for the band's success, the manager feeds innocent young women to Masselin, and it looks like the sisters' new teenaged neighbor Jenny might be the next victim.

When a heatwave strikes San Francisco, Phoebe discovers she has a psychic connection to a succubus that's preying on the single men in town. Prue casts a spell to help her and her sisters vanquish the succubus, only for the spell to turn her into a man. Meanwhile, Piper gets closer to their neighbor Dan.

An evil witch named Tuatha is released from a cave by two treasure hunters, just as Tuatha's wand turns up at Buckland's Auction House. Leo appears to the sisters, telling them they need to seek out the Chosen One, a mortal destined to vanquish Tuatha with her own wand. Meanwhile, Prue gets a new colleague.

When a young man unlocks the location of the Akashic Records, a written account of every major event prophesied to happen throughout history, the sisters must protect him from The Collectors, a pair of warlocks that 'collect' knowledge in a process that leaves their victims catatonic. Meanwhile, Prue and Piper suspect that their respective love interests might be warlocks and cast a spell to hear others' thoughts.

While visiting the site of a children's summer camp, Prue witnesses a man drowned by a water demon, the same demon who'd killed her mother Patty years before. As she and her sisters prepare to go up against the demon and vanquish it for good, they meet a mysterious stranger, one who claims to have known their mother.

After the Charmed Ones thwart an attempt on their lives, Prue disguises herself as the would-be assassin, a mortal known only as Ms. Hellfire. While undercover, she learns that the actual Ms. Hellfire was hired by a charming criminal named Bane Jessup, who in turn is working for an old adversary of the Charmed Ones. On top of that, Prue develops a new power: astral projection.

Drazi, the Demon of Hate, steals Cupid's ring, and begins using it to undo all of Cupid's love matches, turning each couples' love to hate. This causes Cupid physical pain, and if Drazi undoes all of Cupid's matches, it will eventually kill him. The Charmed Ones must rush to stop Drazi, not only to save Cupid but to save their own relationships.

Phoebe finds a baby boy abandoned at the police station, and receives a vision of the baby's father being attacked by a ghost. After taking the child home with her for protection, she and her sisters learn that the ghost is out for revenge on the child's family, specifically targeting the males of the family.
